Melanie & Neeraj’s incredible destination wedding in Turks & Caicos was a spectacular four-day celebration that joined friends and family from around the world to take part in the joining of their families at one of the most beautiful island destinations on the planet. The culmination of the couple’s near decade-long romance brought plenty of emotion, smiles, laughter and fond memories to the picturesque island oasis that became the ultimate setting for an unforgettable wedding, which was named one of “The Knot’s” best cultural weddings of the year! With the sun setting at Amanyara’s reflecting pool, Melanie and her mom recalled touching memories as Melanie’s mehndi was applied. The couple’s welcome party was a colorful, bohemian inspired event held at a private villa dotted with candles, torches and lanterns. Melanie and Neeraj welcomed guests and reminisced with friends as the sun set over the crystal clear Caribbean waters. After a morning boat excursion, the couple hosted a glittering “Bollywood Soire” themed sangeet night, with choreographed dances and speeches, MCed by the couples close friend and stand-up comedian Rajiv Satyal, with a performance by the bridal party and friends from SA Dance Company. The next morning, a storm quickly rolled in as Melanie and Neeraj were getting ready for their ceremony, and with all the romance of a Bollywood love scene, they saw each other in their wedding attire for the very first time as the rain fell around them. Luckily the clouds parted just in time for a gorgeous traditional South Indian ceremony at Amanyara’s reflecting pool. The couple’s evening reception started with a sunset cocktail hour by the beach, followed by a romantic candle and moonlit evening of dinner and speeches both romantic and chic, with a party kicked off by a spectacular fireworks show.
